The brief

The CBD industry is a difficult landscape to navigate. Misconceptions around CBD products continue to challenge brands as they try to separate themselves from the image of “smoking a joint”. Hoping to advertise their wide portfolio to younger audiences and dispel the myth that their products were synonymous with weed, CBDsvet.cz reached out with a request for two commercials. The first and longer video would feature three humorous storylines to engage younger consumers, while the second advertisement would highlight CBDsvet.cz’s expansive line of premium CBD products.

Bringing approachability to a misunderstood product line

The longer commercial involved renting a gym, hiring actors, and storyboarding a comedic video that highlighted CBDsvet.cz’s hemp ointment, while elevating the brand’s cool factor and friendliness. I was responsible for coordinating the on-location shoot and executing post-production. The second video aimed to showcase various CBD oils and teas in an edgy product feature. We utilized a smoke machine, special lighting, and licensed music to give the commercial a captivating look. CBDsvet.cz used both commercials for digital advertising across Youtube and other social media platforms.
